It is a LeSabre, the 1972 Centurion has a different grille with vertical bars and no portholes on it's hood (the ones on the passenger side are barely visible).

So this is crazy. I happened on this by just googlin. So happens this is my old car. It is a 1972 buick lesabre. I was a sophmore at Indiana University and was dating the casting directors daughter at the time. I got into alot of extra scenes. So did my ugly green buick lol. It was my great aunts. Cant make it out in this pic but the license plate was a connecticut plate HH 19.

Now i live in california lol and i just happen to be a struggling middle aged voice over looking for work lol. Anyone got any gigs call me 949-350-6871 or email me dpresc6529@aol.com

Totally true story. Feel free to contact me for more details. My name is Darrell

If that's true then this is fascinating. I've loved this movie for a long time. I can get one of the mods/admins to add this vehicle to your "vehicles owned" page. :)

I like these kinds of stories, I always wondered if people ever happened upon their very own cars in the backgrounds of movies before.

Yes this is a true story. I would love to add more to this story. I was actually inside the pizza restaurant when this was being filmed i was in a bunch of other scenes as well and my car but this was the front and center shot. I had got all of my fraternity brothers in the movie as well.I was only 5 hours from securing my SAG card and scheduled to be in the movie Brubaker but broke up with the casting directors daughter and got ditched lol.

Had many parties with Dennis Quaid and the rest of the actors and crew and was at all of the movie film shots.

I was in the student leader scene in a green suit and as well in the big fight scene in the schools Union restaurant with Dan Stern swinging the bowling ball. I was in the center front row of that in a white and blue frat shirt had a beard in that scene then shaved it for the student leader scene. See if you can find me lol. It was a fun experience for a teenager at the time and never expected it to become a cult type 4 star movie. Many great memories.

Ugly ? You must be kidding. It's a beautiful car, one of my dream cars. What has she become (the car, not the girl) ?

Beside the point, how is Bob Knight going ?

My car was driven to California Orange County in 1982. I kept it until 1984 then sold it to a friend for $800 lol. Lots of memories.I also had Bob Knight as a teacher while at IU for your info lol.
