Not an Avensis, but a Carina was crashed. You can see that the rear lights are only imitations. The places of the original lights are visible. |

Avensis Sedan 1997-2000, the crashed Carina E is a Liftback 1992-1995 |

The design of the trunk lid doesnt fit a Carina E. Neither does the rear light design match (i mean the real ones, not the imitations). As you can see, the overtaped lights are shaped round, almost like a standing egg. But on Carina, the lights are horizontal and more square. The right half of the rear lights are on the trunk lid. But here the complete rear light is on the outside of the lid. Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" -- Last edit: 2016-01-11 23:10:32 |

Found it: Not a Carina E, but simply a Corolla Liftback. So it changes from Hatchback to Liftback. http://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/gallery/TOYOTAAvensisLiftback-3567_4.jpg |

What's going on with the taillights? It's a Liftback with Saloon lights. |

Because they wanted to fake the taillights of said Avensis saloon. I guess they thought that the taillights were a bigger giveaway than the bodystyle itself. -- Last edit: 2016-01-11 23:23:56 |

Indeed it is not an Avensis sedan, nor a Carina or a corolla liftback. It is an Avensis T220, like the showcar but liftback. ^-^ It is a cheaper as well as it has not alloys but hubcaps. I guess the sedan is a linea luna and the liftback a terra -- Last edit: 2022-12-16 00:33:29 |
