Did they ever carry ice cream or was it only for advertising? "Two large semi-trailers with bodies built by Spurling, are used in conjunction with a Bedford S-type tractor to take carcasses from the cold store to the factory. The bodies are 24 ft. 6 in long and each has two lengthwise rails from which up to 160 sides of meat can be suspended." T. Wall and Sons, Ltd., September 1953 Walls manufactured and used their own dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) to cool the contents in preference to thermostatically controlled, refrigerated units at the time. They did have a different separate Bedford tractor-trailer vehicle for ice cream sales at events here https://archive.commercialmotor.com/article/29th-july-1955/50/transport-y-degrees |

Walls also made sausages and bacon products, not just ice-cream things. Not many know this but the company's roots go back to biblical times, when Walls of Jehrico is mentioned in the old testament. |
