@130rapid, would they use Limousine here? |

Indeed, we've 'Limousine' & 'Sedan' samples as well. It looks like 'Volkswagen do Brasil' actually didn't care. Try to find the car's name here... https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/59bug_member_of_family_brazil.php https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/brazil_beetles.php I'd say Portuguese nomenclature 'Exportação' would be fine until late 1958, when they ended the limited numbers assembly, based on German sourced kits. |

That is why I asked your opinion, as long as Volkswagen was just one car they needed no designation.... We saw the same when Tesla emerged. AFAIK VW Exportação means VW Export, and we're still stuck in the same pothole... |

That's confirmed name in Portugal 1950s: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/1_53_bug_portugal/2.jpg |

I've found this info: Link to "autopapo.uol.com.br" 'O nome oficial, durante vários anos, foi Volkswagen Sedan'. |
