540 K? No W29 should have to go through this... |

As far as I can see, it has two rows of "louvres" instead of three rows as of the 540 K. Therefore I rather believe it's a 290 or 320 [W 18] depending on the size of the engine fitted. I think there're two rows of seats with room for five passengers. That wouold be a Cabriolet D. If there's another row of seat behind it with room for as many as seven passengers, it's a Pullman Cabriolet F. https://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/MERCEDES_1937.html Link to "www.favcars.com" (290 Cabriolet D) Link to "i.pinimg.com" (320 Cabriolet D) https://www.flickr.com/photos/theadventurouseye/14568038081 (320 Cabriolet F) -- Last edit: 2022-07-02 21:39:09 |

I'd say we can exclude 320 [W142] for radiator cowl 'ancient' shape, before 1937 for sure. Nevertheless, this car is FAR from genuine shape. |

Perhaps I was wrong altogether with my last entry. I've now found 540 K with two rows of "louvres" Link to "en.wikipedia.org" . Perhaps that was more to do with who made the bodies? |

It's 1938 770 K Cabriolet D with many non-factory elements, different engine, M-20 Pobeda dials, etc. |
