Even if it's not Pinewood, it's a UK location. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090605/locations |

Also probably Imp headlights and front indicators as Imp rear ones?? And easy to tune up into boyracer version with 998cc Rallye Imp bits .... I can just hear the song now - "His name was Arnie, and he drove the fastest sweeper in the west .... " Have dated as 78 for the Commercial Motor linked article. However Imp stopped in 76, so production of 875cc engines must have continued afterwards for non-car use. |

Bit about engines here, still made after 1982 with reconditioned engines . If a South London council ordered 100 spare Imp engines how many sweepers did they have ! - http://www.imps4ever.info/specials/pathmast.html -- Last edit: 2014-05-13 18:02:17 |

July 77 onwards Chrysler Sunbeam 927cc was modified 875cc Imp engine, so not totally surprising that "new" Imp bits were around for a few years afterwards. |
