As we don't have any obvious Q or 16-20 to follow for exact naming, can anyone confirm how we want to enter it? Not sure the world out there knows either ... We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided DAIMLER 16-20 Q UNKNOWN 1931 Registration number: FW2592 Body type: Saloon Colour: Green And Black Date of first registration: September 1998 FW 2592 1931 Daimler Q.20 4-light saloon (1966 Sotheby's auction catalogue) |

Daimler's description of models varied! This car is a 16/20, as stated. The variants were M, Q, and although I have seen no actual proof, apparently LQ. This particular car is a model Q. Therefore, you could choose from Q.16/20, 16/20 model Q, or just plain 16/20 - all being equally correct. I did not comment on the coachwork, which is Mulliner/Weymann, and not Martin Walter. If you find a photograph of VT6578 online, it is an identical car. -- Last edit: 2022-06-11 07:34:59 |

My original ident sprang from the resemblance to a drophead coupé which were bodied by Martin Walter, the picture looking a bit blurred, in that area. There appears to be a landau iron, suggesting the dhc. Thanks for your additional information. |

Entered as 16-20 as easiest way of being able to group any other variants with different type letters if we ever find another. Other details added as extra info. |
