It looks like an Austin Seven Ruby, but as it’s dark it might just be a Pearl, like the one below – oddly enough I don’t know the English definition, but in French it’s a ‘coach découvrable’ or ‘décapotable’. Link to "images.google.co.uk" |

The Pearl was always referred to as a "Cabriolet" in England, but that's hardly an English word. I support the Ruby theory. |

I believe Austin adverts and brochures used both 'Seven' and '7' (similarly with other horsepower ratings 10,12 Ten Twelve etc.). My own preference is to use '7' to distinguish it from the BMC Mini Seven ('Se7en') models but it really is open to discussion I guess. |

I think we can live with Austin Seven Ruby, as shown. The important thing is to say Ruby, and not just leave it at Austin Seven. |
