Wrong. It is a 1974 Plymouth Satellite Patrol Car. The 1974 Satellites had a grille like this. |

This episode was strange because the Hazzard Patrol Cars kept changing from 1974 Plymouth Satelite to 1977 Plymouth Fury. |

Trucker actually the Hazzard County Patrol cars kept changing from 1974 Plymouth Satellite to 1976 Plymouth Fury. Actually the Fury had single round headlights. In 1977 the single round headlights were replaced by dual square headlights. |

Just goes to show that the Dukes editors were not THAT worried about continuity...sort of like when General Lee get banged up and in the next scene, it's perfect again.... |

yeah there were a lot of car changes on there. you occasionally will even see AMC matadors. i seem to recall one ep where enos is driving a 77/78 monaco/fury and does a jump and the car that jumps is a matador. |

The Hazzard patrol cars changed frequently at the beginning--they had AMC Matadors, Dodge Polaras, Dodge Coronets, Dodge Monacos, Plymouth Satellites, and Plymouth Furys. However, the most remembered and/or used on the show were 1977-1978 Dodge Monacos & Plymouth Furys. The old Matadors, Coronets, Satellites, and the one or two Polaras were older models and used in the first few episodes of first season. After that the 77 & 78 Monacos and Furys took over. -- Last edit: 2014-01-14 07:09:42 |
