the SdKfz232 was the version with the large radio antenna..this one is the basic SdKfz 231 (8 rad)...pic is pre 1942, as there is no armour shield across the front of the vehicle..probably a picture from the invasion of poland...built by Deutsche Werke, Schichau, chassis and engines were by Bussing-Nag..produced from 1937-1942. |

I guess it is "Deutsche Eisenwerke" like the other that we have, rather than "Deutsche Werke"? Or is it something different? |

BTW: the photo is from 1939 invasion of Poland - only then the Germans used white crosses (later they figured out it is too much help for aiming . |

Please change name to: 1937 Büssing-N.A.G. Schwerer Panzerspähwagen "Sd.Kfz.231" as extra info. Explanation: These "Sd.Kfz." numbers were not given by the manufacturer, but by the army, so they are not part of the model name. |
