I think caprifisher's right ... up to a point. The Zodiac had a lump of corrugated alloy below the boot lid, /vehicle_35575-Ford-Zodiac.html which this hasn't, but the 2-tone would have to be aftermarket: the Zephyr wasn't normally sold as 2-tone. -- Last edit: 2008-01-07 21:21:02 |

Its a Consul 100% sure - DAF555 is correct. Link to "www.motorbase.com" The rear lights are only Consul by having painted bezels and small in height. Zephyr were larger, chromed down to the bumper, Zodiac had a bright panel full width between the lights. Plus I think only the Consul was sold without over-riders on the bumpers. Two-tone Consul and Zephyr were seen fairly often (but single colour was far more normal). Either it was an option or buyers were prepared to get them re-sprayed themselves. Zodiacs were I think almost always two-tone. -- Last edit: 2008-01-07 21:44:47 |

Early mk2 '56-59 Ford Consul. chrome light bezels fitted to deluxe models. two tone paint was an option on consul but usually applied to roof only, this car has probably been repainted later in its life. |
