Talbot yes.

Talbot 75 looks right but engine size is as the 14/45hp?

The Talbot 75 had suicide doors on the front but the car here has front doors hinged normally.

Engine size, confirmed as 1666cc according to hpicheck, the 75 had a 2276cc 6 cylinder engine.

As 'Sunbar' observes, this is a 1932 Talbot 14/45- though actually from October 1931 onwards it was officially known as the 'New Fourteen'. Makers often call models 'new' when they are soon to go out of production, as this one was! GX6965 was one of the last built. GX 7019 must have been registered at about the same time and was was also a New Fourteen, chassis 31584, the last of the model being chassis number 31630. The date for GX6965 would be about May 1932. It has front hinged front doors, whereas the succeding AU65 model had suicide doors front and rear. It would have had the AU65 type 48BHP engine. This could achieve 4,500rpm, which was very efficient for an engine designed in 1926. The bumper fitted to this car does not appear to be a standard Talbot one, and as far as I'm aware these were not fitted to New fourteens anyway. The external sun visor was an extra cost option, and so was the windscreen wiper on the passenger side- even though this was quite an expensive car to buy (£485). The orange headlamps are a conversion for continental use. The succeeding AU 65 had a removable apron above the dynamotor which would make the mounting of a spotlamp ahead of the radiator impractical. 430 New Fourteen's were built. My own car is an AX65 of Sept/Oct 1933. It has the Wilson Pre- selector Gearbox, but GX6965 would have had to make do with a conventional gearbox having constant mesh only for third and top gears. Like Rolls Royce cars, Talbots had right hand side gear levers at this time. If GX6965 survives it is not a listed in the current Sunbeam Talbot Darracq Register.
