Commer VA, VB or VC. (Karrier Gamecock WA also a possibility but as JCB's comment, airporrt service vehicles by this time were normally Commers). /vehicle_1435451-Commer-V-Series.html Dodge (UK) branding of this cab escapes me at the moment?? Dodge joined Commer and Karrier mid-1965 with minority share in Rootes Group, but continued with their own cabs, I thought, until the Commando became a Dodge in 1976. -- Last edit: 2021-08-22 12:21:02 |

On the Dodge branding_ Dodge K600 and K700 of which none on IMCDB surprisingly. I think these bridged the gap between demise of the 300 Series and rise of the Commando but may be wrong. Dodge name may also have been used in export markets. The whole UK Dodge/ Commer / Karrier / De Soto / Fargo is very confused in the 60s , to me anyway ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2021-08-23 20:24:58 |

Well done JCB. For Dodge in the UK (not overseas exports). ![]() Scottish Show November 1965 (CM Archive). "...the Dodge commercial vehicle range has been expanded into the medium-weight classes by the inclusion of certain Commer models. The main feature by Dodge at the Show, however, is the new 500 Series range and four examples can be seen on the two stands. Dealing first with the Commer models now marketed also by Dodge, these consist of the Walk-Thru 30-cwt., 2 and 3-ton vans (KB200 KB300 & KB400) and 4-. 5-, 6 and 7-ton forward-control chassis (K400, K500 K600 and K700)." Sometime before 1971 (early 1970 as below) the lighter Dodge badged trucks were dropped in favour of the Commers, presumably the dealerships had been rationalised. Commer Commando introduced early 1974 I believe... which eventually was a Dodge etc. edit: "Within about two years dual Commer/Dodge naming of commercials will disappear" from CM March 1968 -- Last edit: 2021-09-10 23:08:39 |
