Facebook post found from April 2020 by previous owner when he put it up for sale at £17,500 - I can't link it because the url is 89 pages long. Not a GS, seems originally sold in Canada, first owner was a Brit who had it for 44 years and brought it to UK when he came back to Blighty. |

And that Brit was not happy when he saw it on Top Gear. "One owner 44 years bought new when moved to Canada. Moved back due to ill health shipped car refused to sell sadly became terminal. Only sold at I may add reduced price as told going to collector. I now find on this show with hamnond driving bonnet cut up. I'm devastated it's ended up this way, the first owner never drove it fast cherished his car. I asked who the buyer was but told very private person but it's going to a good home. I feel I've been conned." The classic "it's going to a collector" story. Feels like the BBC isn't supposed to con people. |

...Correction: Amazon, no longer the BBC, but the same tactic. |

If I remembered correctly the car was not completely destroyed right? it just had that wing tacked on and the supercharger both seems to be reversable to me. besides the hood. |

Knowing how they've treated cars used in their challenges in the past, I'd just be pleased it didn't end up being blown up by a tank in Wales or pushed off of a cliff in Cornwall or dropped from a helicopter. Although I do understand the previous owner's emotional pain a bit, I was fearing what would end up happening to the Cadillac when watching the entire episode, and I was sure one of the cars would end up in the sea. |
