"Pie" in french: black and white bird considered as a "thief"... (magpie) -- Last edit: 2005-12-18 11:10:23 |

It looks a little strange with the English meaning of the word All these black & white French police vehicles were called "Pie" I think |

Yes, and it began with the Renault 4CV, it continued with the Dauphine, Renault 8, and it ended with the Renault 12 I think... Or even with the Renault 16. -- Last edit: 2005-12-18 11:52:18 |

I do not think that there were R16 Pie (well, I never say one), but there were R14 and even R11 with these colors (this one was the last one, since there were also R11 with the next color scheme) |

Right! I remember indeed the black and white R14, but not the R11. Maybe I have to watch again first episodes of Navarro to find them! :-). |

R11 'Pie' had existed, but also Simca 1000, 1100 , Horizon... Peugeot 404 Break, and maybe 504?..some Citroen DS too, but not sure at 100% (I knew the Dinky-Toys model) |

Make me think again that it would be nice to have a special section for police, and taxi cars...then we could select a specific list of these cars in all the movies present on the site |
