Described as a “sports saloon” by Google, hardly. We had an 18hp Whitley in the family which was hardly a ball of fire, the 16hp Lancaster was known as “the gutless wonder”. The Sapphire 346 which followed the Whitley was much better, and then came the Bentley, which I still have. |
