Despite '3900cc' and '1937' infos, I'd say it's 1936 500K or 1936+ 540K. 4-door saloon is more probable as 500K. |

Closest match that I could find: (picture credit - igor65 from benzworld.com forum) (picture source) (picture source) Mostly referred to as 540K [W29] But those are vintage pictures of possibly one and the same car when it was new, and it's very odd that there are no pictures (non that I can find) of this body-style in the more recent years, let alone any info of DUV 11 on the internet. My theory is that maybe it was exported to a hotter country and tucked away in a garage for good, or maybe it is still in a barn somewhere in the UK and is simply forgotten? Or even worse - destroyed? Odd. |

If it existed in 84, it will be very unlikely to have been destroyed. The saloon body will have been chucked and it will be a replica sports car. |

My guess is either exported (despite no DVLA marker) or maybe re-registered (which unusually still shows original number in databases). I've also found nothing online apart from the root plate info. DUV xxx seems a normal London series, Jan-Feb 37. |
