International C30 (1934-37) Is it remodeled to the sales car? |

The restyled International Harvester C-line was introduced at the end of 1934 and replaced by the much more modern D-line in 1937.This one seems indeed to be an early 1934 or 1935 unit but I think it is a Model C 1 open canopy panel van on the 125 inches wheelbase chassis which was the lightest type in the C-line.The C20 and C30 were heavier 1 1/2 ton vehicles.Open canopie's were frequently used by the ambulant grocers in a period in which supermarkets still had to be invented. This example lacks a front bumper. |

Is it "International Harvester" or just "International"?...Is it normal to make a difference between the 2?... |

These are two company that merged, and that dropped the second name later I think. A little like Divco & Divco-Twin or White & White-Freightliner I guess. There are several makes with this kind of "naming problem" for us -- Last edit: 2005-12-10 00:56:21 |

We must "live with it", for this one who is right? Pilou who says International-Harvester, or Jun with only International as maker? |

Actually it seems even more complicated... Now the company seems to be called Navistar International The International Harvester name seems to be used since 1902 until 1985 where the truck division changed its name: Link to "www.caseih.com" The end of the sentence does not explain why some armoured trucks use the Navistar name anyway... But it would mean that all vehicles before 1985 are International Harvester, and not just International? |

It was a my mistake to omit. I believe "a name given at that time" is a correct name. |
