Qx plates are impossible to do anything with - they were temporary imports (often with some tax-free loophole) and other weirdos, usually issued from London. QH was apparently allocated to RAC for temporary foreign visitors. Either the car would then leave UK to go home to its owner's country, or if it stayed in UK for too long (6 months? 1 year?) would have to be re-registered with a normal plate (and lots of tax paid). |
