Looks plausible. The Astra G was being built in Germany since the spring. |

When do we rename these as Astra Classic? Part site I use says the Astra Classic began production in 1/98. https://www.kmotorshop.com/en/device/car-list/380 |

That fits with the production period of the Astra G, but I'd say from 1999 definitely. For 98s I'd list them as just Astra by default if the exact build date is not known. This would definitely be a Classic. -- Last edit: 2023-08-20 15:30:54 |

It was widespread practice, not just for Opel, to release the wagon later than other body types The higher roof, the roof rails, and the code 35 all show this is one, whether being a Classic I or not |

Agree, didn't notice it. Did the wagon exist as Classic? |

I hadn't realized it's a wagon, Classic was only for the sedans as far as I can see. |

The part site says Wagon version was called Classic too unless the site is incorrect. They exist! -- Last edit: 2023-08-20 22:09:27 |

Classic just means it is an Astra F built after the Astra G came out. Astra G came out very early 98 so dates for this one would for Classic. -- Last edit: 2023-08-20 22:10:54 |

^spring of 1998 actually. That's why I need to know the build dates for 98 Fs to know whether they could be Classics or not: /vehicle_981261-Opel-Astra-1998.html -- Last edit: 2023-08-20 22:12:10 |
