That is completely incorrect. The Sixteen was produced only in the post WW2 years, 1945 to 1949. It was a development of the 1939 Austin 12, but with a modern ohv engine that had to wait until civilian car production was resumed after hostilities had ceased. There is no way of telling from this image whether the subject car is a Twelve or a Sixteen. Ah, I see. I typed in 16 for the model name (like how Maeda Auto wrote) instead of Sixteen, which is why I guessed there weren't any Post-war models since the listings for "16" only went up to 1942-ish on IMCDB. I think it's the same one too -- Last edit: 2020-10-14 00:43:30 |
