Aspect ratio is out. Looks like a Bedford HA van from here. |

72-73 L plate. Colour and shiny wheel trims and bumper look like 73 Double Plus "luxury" version - with folding rear seats, metallic paint, black grille, roof-lining, carpets, wheel trim rings, twin wing mirrors and - really pushing the boat out - a heater. Seems to have been 6cwt only. The metallic blue scheme looked pretty good for an HA van, but this muddy picture doesn't really bring it out (or give the coachline a chance of being seen).![]() - not sure what - if any - other colours happened. |

Or a Bedford Beagle with no holes in the side. Was this a result of the U.K.’s peculiar taxation ideas? |

Friends dad had one in that colour , he was very proud of it ! Had a small business making gates so used as car and van. Always been much cheaper for a business to run a commercial in UK as almost all expenses for it can be set against tax . Hence the rise and rise of double cab pick up sales. Because they have a load capacity of over 1 ton they are classed as a commercials despite all the windows. This did not used to be the case back before 19?? any light commercial with side windows behind the drivers window were classified as private vehicles . -- Last edit: 2020-09-13 15:55:07 |
