I'm not the Packard expert you guys might deserve, but by the rear door, the bumper, the lights and the (lack of) jewellery I'd go for a 1940, in any case coachbuilt by the Henney Motor Co. of Freeport, Illinois. Pre-1940 Henneys had a differently shaped service door, post-1940 Henneys had four horizontal moldings on all four fenders and different rear lights. 1940 Packard Henney hearse by Richard Spiegelman, on Flickr 1940 Henney Packard funeral coach by G. Verver, on Flickr SLOW RIDE by cdn.slacker, on Flickr 1940 Henney-Packards were available on two chassis in over 50 various models. The one above is... well, one of them. |
