No, it isn’t. The car in the main picture has two rear hinged doors, the car in flames has both doors hinged upon the B-pillar. -- Last edit: 2020-09-08 17:12:39 |

The car in the main picture, and in thumb #3 is a 1938-49 Singer Ten, or a 1947-49:Singer Super Twelve. There is difficulty splitting the two. -- Last edit: 2020-09-08 17:17:53 |

The car in flames is a post war Triumph saloon, either 1800 or 2000. |

It seems to be a Singer Ten, and post-war, there are vertical radiator shutters, and I cannot see a boot bustle. |

It’s a very odd thing to use as a police car. It wouldn’t pull a greasy man out of bed. |

And let's face it - would the British police really use a prewar Singer in the late 1960s? |

Only at a fund raising concert. |

JLL 594 was London, Sept 47 to Oct 48, "allocated in blocks". Super Ten was Dec 45 to June 49. |
