1956+ Cowley 1500 |

Cowley 1500 because: - 1. Plain wheels with smaller tyres. 2. Apparently no vertical chrome strips in grille. 3. No chrome plated surrounds on headlights, just normal circular bezels. 4. No chrome strip down body side, although some early Oxford S3 did not have either but had plated strips on top of front wings. 5. No chrome inset in windscreen surround. Over riders and sunshade are not standard on the Cowley, but not hard to add. Quite rare because people bought the Oxford as it represented good extra value for relatively little extra money, as well as the exterior points it had carpets instead of rubber mats, a horn ring, temperature gauge, heater, and leather upholstery with drop down armrests instead of plainer pvc. /vehicle_1240761-Morris-Oxford-1956.html ^ Early example before two tone paint option which necessitated extra chrome strip on side, but was fitted whether or not two tone paint specified. -- Last edit: 2020-09-05 17:29:15 |

Looks like same (Sage?) green one as these 2 - /vehicle_602048-Morris-Oxford-1956.html , /vehicle.php?id=1281563 - which are both entered as Oxfords and have unresolved plates. Not arguing against Cowley here, as long as it also makes sense for the other 2. |

I think that the Pennyworth, at least, is this car. |
