Only 103 RHDs were made for whole world; first UK Spiders were LHD from May 1962 until Feb 1964 RHD [106.08] "ex-factory conversion" arrived. DPX 450C was genuine Jan 65 issue. Can't have been many landing here in grey with cream interior, so a chance it's this one - chassis AR852075 "Manufactured in 1964 at Carrozzeria Touring’s new factory at Nova Milanese, this 2600 Spider is a rare Tipo 106.08 model, a factory righthand drive car supplied new to race ace Roy Salvadori’s Alfa Romeo dealership Chipstead Motors on 19 June 1964 and is finished in stylish Grigio Grafite (AR716), the same colour as the car is today". However early history lost and no clue what the original plate was. Or is it a Giulietta Spider - looks as if might have slight kink in rear wing?? -- Last edit: 2020-08-09 18:12:23 |

^ a Giulietta Spider with such a wide bonnet air-intake?? Granted, there were some with similar air intakes on Giulietta's too, but they weren't this large, and it looks like the top of the Alfa grille is much smoother in that picture than on the Giulietta. |
