I think so - if it is, it is 1932 for sure. A 1932 dual cowl phaeton would be a rare car of any make. |

I think this may be a late 1931 car fitted with the 1932 style wheels. Compare the windshield staunchion on this 1932 car Link to "www.conceptcarz.com" with the one on this 1931 http://www.conceptcarz.com/view/photo/130026,12059,0,0/photo.aspx Granted, both are roadsters and not phaetons but there is a distinct difference. Note also that the 1932 car has suicide doors whereas the 1931 has front hinged doors. |

It is not a 1932 Sudebaker, those had more slanted windshields and front " suicide" doors .I'd go for a 1931 Studebaker Dictator 8 phaeton.Concerning the wheels I checked and those are not 1932 but 1933 ones.I suspect retrofitting of 1933 wheels in that year to accomodate the later 17 inch tires introduced in 1933 instead of the 19 inches still used in 1930/1 and the 18 inches used in 1932. |
