If it was a genuine US Riley in period, they did try selling the RMB but only 25 Rileys (of all types) sold in US in 1949 and 117 in 1950 so very few actually happened; RMA seems listed but not actually sold. With the list of 60-ish cars owned by studie289 on his profile page and rented for film work containing some other oddballs looking like recent imports (eg some European 2CVs), I guess same here, so unlikely to be 1947 US sale.
