Actually, it somehow looks more like a Vivaro to me...

Yes, these rear scripts identify it.

I would put origin as "European", as it is unclear whether GM had any role in designing it, and if so, whether it was Opel or IBC. Renault surely has had the leadership in the design of those vehicles.

Indeed.

Didnt someone say that these were made in Spain?

I think some are built in Spain, as well as the UK.

Those made in Spain are made by a Nissan factory. So do they make Opel/Vauxhall models or just the Nissan/Renault ones?

Spain only builds the Nissan version according to Global Auto Index.

'IBC' is now renamed something like - 'GM Assembly' - I need to find out exact name.

edit..

New name for IBC is 'GMM' or GM Manufacturing.

GM Manufacturing Luton (GMM Luton) builds compact vans under the Vauxhall/Opel and other brands.

So if I understood it correctly:
Opel/Vauxhall/Renault: origin = EU, madein = UK
Nissan: origin = EU, and no madein specified since it can be UK or ES
Strange that the Nissan is made in two factories though that it seemed the less common one for me :D

antp, I would agree. I suspect that Primastars are normally built in Spain. The UK built versions maybe the less common variants where it is uneconomic to split production from the Opel/Vauxhall/Renault brands.

I regularly see new vans, built at Luton being delivered, and will keep a watch for the most common brands.

Spain also builds some Trafics - those have a much higher volume than Vivaro and Primastar combined FWICT.

That said, given that all you need to manufacture a given model is a set of badges, I believe production can be shifted quite easily. OTOH, only Luton is a GM plant, so it would make sense for GM products to be build primarily if not only there.

I'd have Vivaros as "built in UK", Primastars as "built in Spain" and Trafics without a defined manufacturing location.

Correction: Wikipedia says Luton is also the primary location for Primastar assembly, with Barcelona serving only as an auxilliary plant. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Primastar)
