I saw this car at a car selling web page! I'm no joking! The owner said that he "restored" it and it costed the same as Jeremy said! I wanted to see some prices for SD1 and this one was one of my contenders! I still do not believe this! When I saw the program I said: That's my car! |

Had it been restored before or after it was used in the program? On a properly restored car, the doors should not fall off! |

before |

I suspect the detaching door was scripted. |

Very funny television. Not a reflection on the real SD1 |

I liked it at the end when Richard said that "the SD1 was often praised in it's day for the way it's doors stayed on.." lol |

A fully working car (The Maserati, Ferrari and Lambo) cost more than 10k, and after 30 years you don't drive them hard like they did -- Last edit: 2012-01-30 16:34:38 |

According to Clarkson, the doors fell off because it was badly restored, not because of BL build quality. Hammond added that in its day, it was praised for the way its back doors stayed on. |
