Acording to the licens plate on the Black Mercedes says this is a 1958 Fiat 500. |

It does look like the roof folds down including the rear window. This first version of the Nuova 500 Transformabile was introduced in June 1957 and since 1959 only the front half of the roof could be opened. This model seems to have a chrome strip on the door at the same height as the handle (and some extra aftermarket strips) that makes it an Export version from 1958 indeed. Was the car called 'Nuova 500 Transformabile' or did it get a different name in Sweden ? |

We listed all as just 500, as they called "Nuova 500" each new model of the 500 |

The "trasformabile" with longer sunroof continued to be available ultill early 1961. Here are the version before the 500 D: - nuova 500 (named Economica after nov.'57.long sunroof) : Jul.'57-Mar.'59)(many modific. '57 in and '58) - nuova 500 normale (long sunroof) ((hubcaps, Side trim in alum., headlights bezels): Nov.'57-Mar.'59. - nuova 500 Sport (no sunroof and 2tones): Jul.'58-Mar.'59 - nuova 500 Sport Trasformabile (Sport with long sunroof) (the rarest In EU): Jul.'58-Mar'59. - nuova 500 Trasformabile (as economica, with few modif. and long sunroof): Mar-'59-Nov.'59. (old lights) - nuova 500 t.a. (=tetto apribile= short sunroof): mar.'59-Nov.'59. (old lights) - nuova 500 Sport '59 ( as before )(modifications inside): Mar.'59-Nov.'59. - nuova 500 Sport t.a. (a Sport with short sunroof): Mar.'59-Nov'59. - 500 Trasformabile '60 (Long sunroof,trim as Economica, but new lights of future 500 D): Nov.'59-Mar.'61. - 500 t.a.
