Poor BMW 7!!! And as some people said on the site: why Americans destroy nice German cars in their movies or their TV series?

Other question: why do Germans destroy nice American vehicles in their movies or TV series? It's the same the other way round, too. Just watch Cobra 11, they like to destroy Chrysler Visions. And American vehicles are often being driven by the villains in German TV series.

Note that these German cars are generally older models, and are usually BMWs. There is a reason for this.

Older BMWs, especially 7 and 8 series from the early 1990s, are known for being fussy and expensive to repair...this is one reason that Chevrolet V8 swaps are growing in popularity.

Opening classified ads anywhere in the U.S. will show tons of older BMWs (Jaguar and to a lesser extent Mercedes Benz cars suffer a similar fate) for sale for extremely cheap because they aren't running. I assume that movie makers buy these cars because they are cheap and look nice...so generally, the ideal cars to destroy for movie scenes.

Since I have found out that BMW 7 was first available in the U.S. in 1988, the year should be changed to 1988. Also, it should be listed as "made for USA"
