1292cc, 1933, suggests Ten-Four tourer. The Ten-Six was 1378cc. There is, however, a however to consider. The Ten-Six was not introduced until 1934, at which point the Ten was renamed Ten-Four. If the DVLA information is correct and this is a 1933 car, it may be more accurate just to call it a Ten. The car is also fitted with the single blade bumpers of the 1934 models, but who knows what modifications could have happened in eighty-odd years, or 34 years at the time of filming? A quick look at Newall confirms the registration to be commensurate with the suggested date of April 1933. Red and Black is certainly a more suitable colour than daffodil yellow, original two colour schemes tended to favour black wings with another fairly sober contrasting colour like maroon red, dark green or dark blue. -- Last edit: 2020-06-26 10:49:40 |
