I see fender mounted mirror on this vehicle. Is this a requirement outside USA? |

Requirement not, in the 60ies and 70ies it was a popular aftersales-market extra. Nowdays the original ones (fakes are available) are very expensive. See here: Link to "cgi.ebay.de" The brand "Talbot" had in the Germany the best reputation, so sometimes thepeople say "Talbot-mirror" to all mirrors, mounted on the fender. This company Talbot was located in West-Berlin with no active relations to the French car-company. As I know, the name of that manufacturer of aftersales-market-extras was left over from pre-war-times, when the had assembled some Talbot Lago as CKD from France. I've read this somewhere. -- Last edit: 2007-11-22 22:13:28 |

At this time it was reqired to have outside mirrors on both sides, this car has an original door mirror on the left side only. Maybe they put the fender mirrors on to have some kind of symetry? |
