Very unusual ambulance, based on a 1962 Ford full-size wagon. Possibly converted by National. |

I think it´s rather an Amblewagon, done by Automotive Conversion of Troy/ Michigan. |

Here´s more of it: http://www.hearse.com/pages_to_file_2/11667.html W. R. Bennett writes: "This historical ambulance sold at the 1998 Kruse International Labor Day Sale for $32,500.00. It is the actual car that carried Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated President Kennedy. The vehicle was extremely well documented with letters from the funeral home and a news reel that was show just prior to the bidding." |

This car is probably a local conversion; likely by the Gordon K. Allen Co. (Superior dealership), or perhaps by the funeral home itself. The actual Car 605, according to a former Oneal employee, was destroyed in an accident less than a year after this footage was shot. |
