Never fully shown so size not obvious, and could be horse transporter body. But with all those lockers and high cab doors, I started wondering about a converted fire engine???

Dennis Falcon 32-36-seat single deck passenger chassis ... perhaps?

Wheelbase looks to me to be too long for most Dennis fire engines. Either converted from a bus or via more likely a horsebox? Chassis is from 1948 to before 1955 I guess but body looks more like 1950s.

I think it is your bus chassis as the wheel nut rings match and these are not seen on Dennis trucks.
Also buses often on showground as caravan conversions.

I'm thinking a modified horsebox is the most likely, built on a Falcon II bus chassis.

The strange arrangement and number of doors on the side could be a side loading door being replaced with smaller doors. A horsebox with footholds for access to the higher roof than would be required on a bus.

edit: After typing the comment the door arrangement I think becomes obvious. There are a pair of large side hinged doors for loading horses with a smaller cab door behind the front driver/passenger seats plus a single door for access to the horse area at the back where the clown is. Either a separate or an internal ramp would be needed, or more likely the side-hinged doors have been converted from the bottom hinged ramp. The downward curving side-flash to the rear wheel was common on most Lambourn horseboxes from the 1940s to the 1970s.

The only other ideas I had were a TV outside broadcast unit (but not a known BBC or ATV etc vehicle) or a mobile retail or promotional van, but again nothing obvious found in use in the 1950s.

Its difficult to say but it looks more like a Falcon II chassis than a Lancet, I think.

The colours of all vehicles are similar to Billy Smarts Circus but can't find any thing like this.

I think your right with horsebox , whole shape very redolent of Maudslay ones.

The colours of all vehicles in film are similar to Billy Smarts Circus., wonder if they are ?

I wouldn't bet even a small pot of Marmite on the plate, but it could be GFT (Tynemouth) or GFF (Merioneth so less likely for County Durham) 733 or 753 or similar; conveniently both series were mid-62 into early 63. And (adapted?) horsebox works for me too.
