1937/38 mopar with a weird non-original grille? Makes me think this was originally a 1938 Plymouth. |

An incredibly ugly Eastern-style self-made grille and stalk headlights. Roof-mounted wipers so 1937 Mopar (or a 38 Plymouth). Trim pieces resemble that of the 37 Dodge the most, however the louvers are absent. Not much else to say. |

If only we could find out where it was filmed. I usually check the retro car festivals of the area to find the exact car, but finding filming locations for this series is hard. |

Somewhere in Belarus, presumably. According to https://www.kino-teatr.ru/kino/movie/ros/131177/annot/ it is a Belarus-Russia co-production. |

Minsk, it seems: http://show-biz.by/lyulbimyi-gorod/blog "The first shooting day of the movie "Favorite City" took place on August 10th. Hot weather, from which Minsk residents suffer, turned out to be very useful for filming. According to the film, the action takes place on the outskirts of Leningrad. Nevertheless, the Minsk surroundings "fit" quite well." |

Lateef, any update with my picture? If they tried to replace the original grille, I'd say 38 Plymouth. The description may not be 100% accurate. |

Thanks, but I have nothing new to offer, other than to say that the lower hinge position of the rear door makes it clear that it's a Plymouth. The entire front section looks raised/extended to accommodate for that pig-ugly grille change, and you can tell by the flimsy-looking fenders. That being said, I think 37/38 Plymouth is the best bet for now. |
