Difficult to be certain which series but it looks big enough to be a Roadmaster Phaeton. |

1937 Buick Century 5 - passenger Convertible Phaeton model 60-C on the 126 inch wheelbase .It is not a Roadmaster :the 1937 Roadmaster Phaetons had front hinged security front and rear doors. This one has rear-hinged rear doors. The Special was shorter with a wheelbase of 122 inches.Only 421 of the Century Phaeton were built. |

Actually I think it is a 37 Special 40C due to the items that pilou notes above along with the fact that it has a light colored steering wheel which came on the Specials, Century's had a dark steering wheel. |

I am a bit puzzled on your comment re the steering wheel colours. Every 1937 Century and Roadmaster I have seen pictures of has a white steering wheel. Here is an original ratty Century wheel - Link to "www.qadas.com" On 1937 and '38 Buicks with no side mounts you can see the difference between the Special and Century in the space between the end of the hood louvres and the join of the hood side to the cowl which is where the extra 4 inches is. |
