Oh... I should have considered that it was a replica from the 5 Series (which was in too high a spec to be a police vehicle). With the cars being faked replicas of Hampshire cars it's interesting they went to so much effort when it was set in a fictional town (in Sussex, I think rather than Hampshire) and they could have just used old Vauxhalls, Fords and Rovers like all the other TV series did at this time rather than upmarket models. Volvo police cars never really became a thing in most of Britain until the T-5 models came out. |
