Triumph TR3A. At least, that’s what they called it here. Some MkX Jags and some E-types, and some porridge. |

Interesting that their are Triumph TR3's and TR4's being exported. |

Deleted by finger trouble. I said TR3A wide grille, and that TR2, which was a previous id, would not be on the docks in 1962. -- Last edit: 2020-04-30 23:12:46 |

It's probably a TR3B - "The TR4 succeeded the TR3A in October 1961, but Triumph’s US dealers were concerned that the new model would not appeal to their customers. As 90% of TRs were sold in the States, it was decided to fit surplus TR3A bodyshells with the TR4’s 2.2-litre engine and all-synchromesh gearbox. Triumph began to make the export-only TR3B in March 1962, six months after TR3A production had formally ceased. The last Bs were built in October of that year.". So TR3Bs seem also to have gone to CDN ..... |

In the background there appears to be a Standard Triumph service van and oddly amongst loads of Triumphs they have bonnet up on a Jag. |

They are installing in the Jag a Herald engine for an expat Scotsman. -- Last edit: 2020-05-01 11:53:01 |
