I know it's small, but that must have been uber rare to find one in the used car lot in the early 1980s Korea in a sea of GMK/Kia/Hyundai's. |

I might be wrong, but since it is Korea, maybe there are more chances that's not Plymouth, but its original called Mitsubishi Celeste or one of its variations? ![]() https://www.automobile-catalog.com/model/mitsubishi/celeste.html |

There could be possibilities, but I find it unlikely for a couple of reasons: 1. In the early 1980s, S. Korea's import liberalization wasn't really a thing yet, so the chances of someone privately importing a Celeste (which wasn't really that desirable or pupular even when it was new) from outside of Korea was really slim. 2. There were many US servicemen who were stationed in S. Korea and many of them imported their own vehicles with them to Korea and the subject vehicle, at least for me, appears to have those big US-spec bumpers. Suggesting that the US servicemen went back to America and left/or traded his Plymouth for something else in Korea. -- Last edit: 2020-04-21 18:00:16 |
