Autobianchi indeed. But how was it called in the UK? Bianchina Panoramica Van? There was also a Furgoncino, but it had a bigger rear body (more like the rear cube of a 2CV Van).

Here: http://www.fiat500classics.co.uk/catalog/500_models.php I found two names: Furgoncino 264 or just Furgoncino, the bigger van verson being a Furgoncino 264 E. But were these names really used in Britain? I thought that names like Lutèce, Eden-Roc and Texane were only used in France...

I`m pretty sure it was badged as a Fiat in the UK, I think it had the 600 running gear & looked like a 600 from the front. There was 1 on ebay a while back...

I was wrong, its an Autobianchi Bianchina Furgoncino tetto basso(low roof) type 264.

http://www.autobianchi.org/ita2/BianchinaFurgoncino.asp for pics.

They looked like a Daf 33 at the front but with big overiders under the headlights.

I dont think these were officially imported to the Uk & as far as I know they never made RHD Autobianchi`s, its hard to tell what side he`s sitting on in the pics!

I may be wrong & I dont have any magazines to hand from that period to see if they were officially available.

See discussion here on UK names - /vehicle.php?id=830137 . Seems there were small stream of official UK imports from 1961-70 (and maybe earlier), with 2 names used:
- Autobianchi Bianchina Van (early 60s)
- Fiat 500 Bianchina Van (mid-60s onwards - certainly 1967, but not sure how much earlier).

I think best strategy for us is to use Autobianchi Bianchina Van for both our examples - easily found/retrieved and logical as it is a van version of the Autobianchi Bianchina. Can be revisited if we ever find evidence for date of name change. My guess is that this one is about 1966-68 as well for colour and it's very shiny new looking for film date.
