Proton Wira. But since the movie is set in the UK, Proton Persona it is. Model years are 1996+ due to amber indicators on the taillight. Model origin: MY -- Last edit: 2020-04-10 15:05:09 |

They used both names here, 2000+ models were sold here as Wira, older ones as Persona. |

As a note, I can't seem to find any of them listed from these places, but mainland Europe (France, Germany, Belgium at least) had a totally different naming system that was similar to BMW and Rover. The Compact/Satria was sold as the 3/300 series (313, 316 and 318 GTI), the Persona/Wira was named the 4/400 series (413, 415, 416, 418, 420 TDI) and the Putra/Coupe was named 418 LRS. Plenty of stuff in the galleries here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/UkSpecProton/photos/?ref=page_internal |

We'll never know for sure. Unless there are other shots of the car so we can see it's license plate or something. |
