This is supposed to be Glasgow 1940, but EWS 46 is listed as Edinburgh Sept-Nov 46, which means some of the other "Glasgow 1940" captures could be wrongly described as well (It's not EVS 46 - Greenock July 63 to May 64). What's the big van in centre of thumb?? |

Left Austin Loadstar or Bedford O, my thoughts lean towards Luton rather than Longbridge. Centre Austin FX3 newspaper van. Right Morris PV. |

^ An FX3 van also means postwar. Also noted that none of the "1940" shots (which are described as August that year) have any vehicles with blackout lights or white paint edges, so they could well all be 1947-48 or thereabouts, after Harry's delayed return to UK from his wartime exploits - commentary says this was a year or two after war ended. However I think this is the only entry where 1940 is obviously incorrect. |

Hang on. Looking again, I wonder about the FX3 identification I made previously. I think that this could be a Fordson. /v898153.html The comment concerning dates, as only 52 Morris Commercial PV vans were made in 1939, what price this being one of them? -- Last edit: 2020-03-21 15:51:17 |

High mounted headlights, Austin K Series, not Bedford. |

Agreed. Austin K Series I or K Loadstar Series II. Austin FL1 Newspaper van for the Austin grille I think, it looks about right. /vehicle_607815-Austin-FL1-Van-1951.html Morris PV. |
