@dsl, is there any info about Thames (or Ford ) vehicles in US? |

Ford U.K. certainly promoted the export of various Dagenham dustbins to the USA. Possibly very few pre ww2, since the V-8 was very similar to the US product, and presumably Ford’s didn’t think the small cars would sell well. Immediately post war the Anglia, Prefect, and then the Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac Mks 1 & 2 were marketed with some success. As far as trucks go, no knowledge. -- Last edit: 2020-01-28 20:07:45 |

Is 800 Freighter applicable for a windowed van (or at least partially windowed ) as well? |

found a couple brochures for sale on eBay, first one shows a LHD van, but doesn't mention the market. Second one says it's a US-market brochure: Link to "www.ebay.com" Link to "www.ebay.com" |

Nothing I can add to the info from links. Commer also tried selling PBs in US end 1950s/early 1960s, so maybe there was a small and/or short-lived window for UK stuff below larger US vans?? |

I would say these were pre-Econoline, so there was probably enough interest in them to get Ford to create an American version. |
