Leyland-based?

As usual, the problem boils down to working out who built the body.

This http://www.leylandbusparts.co.uk/history.html tells us that the Worldmaster was a chassis in search of a body, but whose body and when?

"Worldmaster?" Was this bus designed by a person who only speaks Denglish, whose English is maybe not the yellow from the egg, perhaps even under all cannon?...

I don’t think the design department would have had any input.

Marketing-speak, if ever I heard it.

The thing did sell quite well, iirc, (20,000 plus, it says here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leyland_Royal_Tiger_Worldmaster ) and if you are a student of Leyland’s naming policy, the name is no surprise.

On a completely unrelated note: I initially considered my screen name to be "Fleathermouse", but subsequently decided otherwise. And now that online translators unquestioningly translate (!) this, it's not even funny any more. :/

Any relationship to “flittermouse” or is that too batty?

No, it's exactly that, just in bad English with a broad German accent. ^v^

Die Fledermaus, then.

Not one I’ve seen.

Exactly. I see you listened to Strauss.

Yes, but only in a “New Year’s Day Concert” sort of way, and I think he’s not the right Strauss for that.

Attending opera is very expensive, plus the cost of train tickets and hotels x 2, so it’s generally the CD player, or Classic FM.

Enough, but I haven’t recognised anything for ages, so I must talk about something.

Back to the bus in question. They were operated since 1969 by JSP Skopje and the body was most likely built by Novi Sad according to this forum thread.

So it is very likely one of these:

No argument from me.
