Renault 20, I think. I don't know the differences between 20 and 30 at the back side -- Last edit: 2007-10-22 21:56:59 |

The left one is the Renault 20 of the commissaire Duché (time code of this pic: 01:30:53). There is no better view of the right one. -- Last edit: 2014-04-26 00:47:49 |

So to continue. You can differ them by the bumpers and later by the taillamps trim. In R30 bumpers always had the rubber bands (and whole bumpers were longer). These "R30 bumpers" were used also in R20 TS since 1978 MY (and later in R20 GTD, TX etc), but fortunately also since 1978 MY taillamps in R30s gained a chromed frame/finition not used in R20, so they are again hard to confuse from this side. It is tricky pic however, as due to the lightning/sun rays, the rubber is not visible on the silver Duché's TX. Anyway the car on the right clearly has the simple bumpers without horizontal rubbeer strip - the R20 only bumpers. -- Last edit: 2014-04-26 16:29:58 |

Generic R127, or L/TL/GTL trim R1271 car? |

1976 R1271 TL or GTL as the oldest - so default - possibility by what is visible (later few more had such/similar look too). |

I thought we used here the 1976 year as a generic MY (as in "1976+"), not as a fixed and sure identification. In that case, the use of the generic 127 code would bee more accurate too, in my mind |

But this way, in case of the unclear ones, we shouldn't set any year as well. If we do it (what is very OK), then the code matching the visible trim can be set too. |
