1946 to 1951 Bentley MkVI Standard Steel Saloon. The car is NOT a limousine, they had no division in standard form. It is a saloon, “sedan” if you really must. If my interpretation of the rear view is correct, it may be a 4257cc car, rather than the later 4566cc model, as only one exhaust pipe is visible. The larger engine and twin exhausts were introduced at chassis no B66MD on 27 June 1951, so if 1 outlet is correct the car predates this. The rear wing apertures look odd, maybe spats have been removed to make the car look newer than it is, but the replacement light units on the back wings are neatly executed. There also seem to be rather too many lights, and the wing mirrors are anachronistic, but things happen. -- Last edit: 2019-12-02 20:13:07 |
