For the 1987.5 model (yes there were several key changes made mid year to cause for a .5 designation) only the colors Rosso Red, Diamond White and Black were available in a monochromatic finish. However I believe you're correct in that it is an early 1988 model because it has the revised single rear wing but the wheels were still the 15-inch "spatula design" (from 1987 to very early 1988) and not the "basket weave" wheels which were spec'd to the end of the XR4Ti model run.
