greybear ◊ 2007-10-07 12:46	It looks like a pre-war Packard 8 but I only recall that distictive split rear window on Le Baron Coupes. The rear view mirrors on the side mounts seems to be a Packard speciality, too. Is that right?
pilou ◊ 2007-10-08 10:26	The front end is also that of a 1940 Packard Eighteenth series 180 but it does not appear to be the same car as the other Packard in this movie.This one has sidemounts with indeed the Packard optional rear view mirrors on top of them.Having a classic trunk it is not a coupe and it has a full padded leather top .The distinctive custom bullet-shaped narrow split rear window is indeed reminiscent of that of the LeBaron boat tail 1104 and Sports Coupe 1106 from 1934 , but in 1940 Le Baron was already out of business.I suspect this may be a Derham custom conversion of a sedan to a formal sedan as Derham did several, by addition of an internal divider window,the padded leather top and more luxuriously appointed interiors.Call to all Packard specialists!
